2. Website Use
2.1 Permitted Use
You may use our website for lawful purposes only. You must not:
- Use the website in any way that breaches applicable laws or regulations
- Use the website to transmit unsolicited or unauthorised advertising
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or data
- Use automated systems to extract data from the website
2.2 Content Accuracy
We strive to ensure information on our website is accurate and current. However, we do not guarantee the completeness or accuracy of all content. Vehicle availability, specifications, and pricing are subject to change without notice.
3. Vehicle Hire Terms
3.1 Eligibility
To hire a vehicle, you must:
- Be at least 25 years old (30 for prestige vehicles)
- Hold a valid UK or international driving licence for at least 2 years (3 years for prestige vehicles)
- Have no more than 6 penalty points on your licence
- Not have any driving disqualifications in the past 5 years
- Provide valid identification and proof of address
3.2 Bookings
All bookings are subject to vehicle availability and confirmation by Canyon Yard. A booking is not confirmed until you receive written confirmation from us. We reserve the right to refuse any booking at our discretion.
3.3 Payment
- Full payment is required before vehicle collection unless otherwise agreed
- A security deposit will be pre-authorised on your payment card
- Deposits are released within 7-10 business days after return, subject to inspection
- Additional charges may apply for damage, excess mileage, late returns, or fuel
3.4 Cancellation
- Cancellations more than 72 hours before pickup: Full refund
- Cancellations 24-72 hours before pickup: 50% refund
- Cancellations less than 24 hours before pickup: No refund
- No-shows: No refund
3.5 Vehicle Use
You agree to:
- Use the vehicle only within the United Kingdom unless prior written approval is obtained
- Not use the vehicle for any illegal purpose
- Not sub-let or transfer the vehicle to any other party
- Not use the vehicle for racing, pace-making, or testing
- Not use the vehicle while under the influence of alcohol or drugs
- Not smoke or vape in the vehicle
- Not carry passengers for hire or reward
- Maintain the vehicle in the same condition as collected
3.6 Insurance
Comprehensive insurance is included with standard excess. You are responsible for:
- Reporting any accident, damage, or theft immediately
- Obtaining a police report for any incident
- Not admitting liability at any accident scene
- Paying the excess amount for any claim
3.7 Mileage
Daily mileage allowances are stated in your booking confirmation. Excess mileage is charged at rates specified in your agreement. Unlimited mileage packages may be available on request.
3.8 Fuel
Vehicles are provided with a full tank and must be returned full. If returned with less fuel, we will refuel at £2.20 per litre plus a £25 service charge.
3.9 Return
Vehicles must be returned on the agreed date and time. Late returns are charged at 150% of the daily rate pro-rata. Returns more than 2 hours late may result in additional day charges.
4. Liability
4.1 Our Liability
We accept liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Our liability for other losses is limited to the total hire charges paid.
4.2 Your Liability
You are liable for:
- All traffic violations, fines, and charges incurred during the hire period
- Damage to the vehicle up to the excess amount
- Damage caused by negligence, misuse, or breach of these terms
- Loss of or damage to keys
- Cleaning costs if the vehicle is returned in an unacceptable condition
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, images, logos, and design, is owned by or licensed to Canyon Yard Ltd. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content without our prior written consent.
6. Third-Party Links
Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or practices of any linked sites. Your use of third-party websites is at your own risk.
7. Dispute Resolution
We aim to resolve any complaints quickly and fairly. If you have a complaint:
